Microvest is a financial savings and investment service. Because the app enables real money transactions and cooperative membership, it is intended for a mature audience. In line with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, Microvest is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. Account registration and use of our financial services require you to be at least 18.

• Microvest is a financial product. Users save and invest real money and can request their funds based on the rules of their savings plan.

• Using the app requires a valid Nigerian bank account and the ability to enter into a financial and cooperative-membership relationship, which calls for a level of financial maturity.

• Handling money, understanding savings penalties, and making investment decisions are activities appropriate for adults rather than children.

No objectionable content

Microvest does not contain any content that is unsuitable for a mature audience. Specifically, the app does not include:

• Violence, horror, or fear-inducing content;

• Sexual content, nudity, or suggestive themes;

• Profanity, crude humour, or mature or suggestive language;

• Alcohol, tobacco, drug references, or depictions of controlled substances;

• Simulated gambling, real gambling, or contests with prizes; and

• Unrestricted access to the internet or unmoderated user-generated content.

MiSocial community content

Microvest includes MiSocial, a community feature that lets members share financial-literacy content and interact with one another. Community content is subject to our Terms of Use, which prohibit abusive, illicit, or explicit material. We are not obligated to publish any user content and may remove it with or without notice.

To keep MiSocial appropriate for our audience, we apply the following safeguards to user-generated content:

• An automated profanity and prohibited-word filter that screens posts and comments and blocks offensive or objectionable language before it can be published;

• A reporting tool that lets members flag inappropriate content or abusive users for review; and

• Moderation controls that allow us to remove content or restrict accounts that breach our Terms of Use.

Age verification

When registering, users represent that all information they provide, including their age, is truthful, accurate, current, and complete. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will close the account in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
